Call for Papers
The Journal of Kurdish Society for Information Science and Technology (JKSIST), an international online journal, is a scholarly open access journal in English devoted to the various fields of Information Science and Technology. It uses a double-blind peer review system for evaluating submitted papers and serves as a forum for discussion and experimentation. JKSIST publishes original articles (in basic and applied research), case studies, critical reviews, surveys, opinions, commentaries and essays, and encourages the participation of academics and practitioners alike.
JKSIST Interests (Themes)
JKSIST has two kinds of interests for publishing, general (international information science topics), and special (Kurds and Kurdistan information science related topics).

We welcome and encourage all contributions on these or other aspects of the Information Science and Technology.
JKSIST Special (Regional) Interests
JKSIST special (Regional) interests are:
Kurds (around the world) and Kurdistan regions related papers in the following themes would be of special consideration:
- Well-documented reports about Kurdistan and Kurdish libraries (national, public, academic, school and special).
- Biographies and auto-biographies
- Libraries networks and collaborations
- Library history (chronological and critical review)
- Librarians
- Challenges and opportunities of library organization (source acquisition and cataloging and classification)
- Library services both conventional (printed) and modern (online and digital libraries) in social, academic and educational environments.
- Review and criticism about reference works (general and special fields) which is written and published in Kurdish or other languages about Kurds and Kurdistan.
- Theoretical basis and practical experiences about foundations of establishment and development of Kurdistan library and information science as an academic field and professional career.
